A Tribute to My Mother

Hello, everyone. I’m Ruslan Kumakhov, an MMA fighter from Russia.

Today, I want to share a deeply personal story about my mother—an extraordinary woman whose resilience and strength have shaped my life.

In 2013, our family of seven moved to a new home, leaving behind a cramped one-room apartment.

My mother, determined to give us a better life, took out loans and debts to make this dream a reality.

Unfortunately, the house was plagued by issues. It was damp and moldy, making it an unpleasant place to live. Despite investing so much, we found ourselves in a challenging situation.

For 14 long years, my mom has been working tirelessly to pay off these debts.

We’d rise at 3-4 AM to work in fields and greenhouses, taking on any job we could find.

But the heavy burden of interest made it impossible to get ahead. Still, my mother’s unwavering determination never faltered.

Now, at 26, I’m on the brink of fulfilling my cherished dream.

On February 3, 2024, I’ll step into the ring at the CGC tournament in Saudi Arabia, with the song "Si Ane (My Mom)" playing.

This fight represents more than just a career milestone—it’s a chance to change our family's future.

I am deeply grateful to the CGC league, Pavel Sakharevsky, and Gangsta Paradise for this opportunity.

Your support means everything to me, and I’m determined not to disappoint.

To everyone reading this, cherish your mothers.

Their love is selfless and boundless.

My mother often tells me, “I’d rather work all my life and pay off my debts; the main thing is that you are all healthy and safe.

Her words inspire me every day.

Thank you for listening to our story.

Remember, with resilience and hope, we can overcome any challenge.
